me: I call, meditation done with chanting as the act of distraction, not the perfect art of living
See, chanting is a constant source of distraction to pull you aside from the rest of the bunch of distractions worrying or disturbing you
me: So when you chant, you add a tertiary distraction, moving at a constant speed from you, thus the relative motion between you and that becomes zero as you put more and more stress
Leaving all the bunch of distraction at a lower pace
But i don't like this way
: Will describe about my technique, try it if you find it okay
See, i believe, you leave your senses when you chant, and the moment you reach the zenith of eternity, or peace. Or Zen, you are no longer in connection with your senses.
me: During this process, your mind and your body fight, and there develop a great amount of resistances, that actually decrease the abilities of mind and body
me: The moment you start, you’re not comfortable, you put more focus, & stress, what i call as the tertiary distraction, and the more you focus, the more you get distracted from your senses and this real world
Thus, when you reach at 0 relative motion with that tertiary distraction you, feel to have reached a state called meditation
me: But, if you leave your senses free, active. And let your mind wander to the extremities, let it go to the threshold of imaginations, thoughts, you'll end up reaching a state where, your imaginary horizons limit you from thinking beyond it
In the due course of journey, you'll end up making a zero relative velocity with all the real distractions, you'll move along with them, and
me: You'll be accompanied by all your senses, you'll nullify all your real disturbances, and the place, you reach, you'll be conscious, and this eternity, will last longer
As the number of times you repeat, the distance between, that real and peak of Zen will diminish,
Leaving you in a constant meditation mode that too without adding any disturbance
OK
So how's this theory?
revision 1:-
THIS IS A CONVERSATION WITH A PROFESSOR :-
Professor: so finally u want to say... mediation without chanting is better
??
or chanting makes our senses active??
me: No sir, i just want to convey that meditation is a state of living, not an art of living
And going into an illusion, by chanting and loosing senses may degenerate some rare abilities of the body when in meditation
My point is, if we meditate in total consciousness, many untold truths of this world may be unraveled
Meditation by means of Chanting is just a discrete version of, by means of this method, it will become continuous and endless.
Professor: just a min
me: K sir
Professor: i didnt get u.... does leaving our senses wen v r chanting make us unconscious?
from the real disturbances
me: Yeah, in deep meditation, we loose our consciousness, just take the case of listening to a lullaby or light music, we involuntarily fall into sleep
The moment you stop chanting, you are forced to come back n face the real life distractions. Thus its kind of running away from problems
And fighting with them in total consciousness, is a sign of strength n courage too.
Professor: yeah...correct....but how can v do the second one
meditation with total consciousness
cause.... wen v start with leaving senses active...i dont think v ll reach a state of meditation.
me: Thats a bit tough to do but, we can achieve that
CASE 1
It can be started like this- sit in a comfortable place
Let your mind wander in all directions it wants to
Let anything that bothers you, come into your mind
Like the sounds that are near you, the winds, the atmosphere anything that sends some sense to your mind
The second phase, let you be bothered by your immediate tensions, workplace, family, etc
Professor: ok
Then
me: Finally, when you end up meeting all these real distractions, you'll no more be able to think beyond and your imaginary horizons limit you from gettin distracted further
At that position, your mind becomes blank , and you cant go beyond
The relative velocity of your thought process comes to zero, w.r.t all the distractions
And thus one is said to be meditated
May not hold good for most of the people, but few can take advantage.
Professor: u ve written: You'll be accompanied by all your senses, you'll nullify all your real disturbances....how do u nullify.
me: Thats my opinion sir, and i'm not sure if it sounds sensible or people take me as insane
CASE 2
Imagine a fish flowin in water
To stop that fish from going further downstream, you put a check or wall
But your motive is to make the fish static w.r.t water
The moment the fish reaches the barrier, it develops great resistances,
But if your perception changes, and if you allow fish to flow with water, then, if you consider a strip of water w.r.t fish, the fish always remains in a static position
So the basic concept is, to let flow the thoughts, and your mind too.
And this stasis, is something what i believe to be meditation is.
