MELTING GLACIERS

I gaze at the shores, heavenly abode;

The falling tides and the beaten winds,

The smell of the air, the withered color of the skies,

& face of the sun, scorching and pale,

Several fathoms deep inside my sodden heart,

I feel an abyss of blasting fires,

With the god-damn broken stinkin skeletons,

And the raging heat of the unholy human pyres

With gallons of nicotine flowing in through the veins,

The melting glaciers of the mighty brains,

To incinerate the past of merciful days, of joy, of play,

To surpass the past, and the profound dismay,

I see the ashes dancing in the joy of the kill; wherever I see,

Raising the toast to the ghosts of smoke that wander in me,

I see black, I grow yellowed, and I feel green,

For the life outside this universe, calm & serene,
